What happens when the 60-day trial ends?

If you don’t cancel before trial ends, your subscription will automatically start and we will charge your saved card. Your access continues without interruption.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. You can cancel anytime to stop renewal. If you cancel, you keep access until your subscription end date

Do you offer refunds?

Countam is an annual subscription, so we don’t offer routine refunds once service has started. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support and we will review it.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes. We run promotions during the year, and offer discounts for bulk users and special programmes (SME associations and accounting partners).

What support do I get on the software-only plan?

Software-only includes Email + WhatsApp support, Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm (WAT).

How fast is support?

We aim to respond within 3 hours of receiving your message, and no later than 12 hours in most cases. If there is a system-wide issue, we send an update to all customers on the platform.

Do you provide training?

Yes. Countam includes short training videos for each module inside the product. We also run live onboarding demos for new users and webinars for walkthroughs and updates.

Does Countam support VAT, WHT and PAYE?

Yes. Countam supports:

• VAT on invoices and VAT reporting

• WHT tracking and reporting

• A tax liability dashboard showing what’s due

Does Countam support e-invoicing (NRS)?

Yes. Countam supports e-invoicing through an integrated e-invoice service. E-invoice generation may be handled through a third-party provider while certification processes are completed.

Does Countam support inventory?

Yes. Countam supports:

• Stock tracking and stock levels

• Cost of goods (COGS) and gross profit

• Multi-store stock (separate stock per location)

You can also view stock position at month-end for reporting.

Can I do stock adjustments or stock transfers?

Not yet. Stock adjustments and stock transfers are coming soon.

Does Countam support production (Production Vouchers)?

Yes. Production Vouchers help you record raw materials used and finished goods produced, so you can track true cost and profit.

What payment methods does Countam POS support?

Cash, bank transfer, and card. You can also add other payment types by setting them up in your Chart of Accounts so they appear in POS.

Can I record split payments?

Yes. You can record split payments (up to 2–3 methods per sale).

Can I do refunds and voids?

Yes. Countam POS supports refunds and voids, with an audit trail.

Can I print POS receipts?

Receipt printing depends on your device, browser, and printer configuration. We are testing printer compatibility and will publish a recommended list of supported printers.

Do you have a wallet or virtual account inside Countam?

Yes. Countam includes a wallet module with virtual accounts through selected partner banks.

What can I use the wallet for?

• Pay vendors and third parties

• Make statutory payments (where applicable)

• Track office expenses without leaving Countam

Is the wallet available on all plans?

Yes. The wallet module is available on all plans.

Are there transaction limits?

Yes. Limits depend on the KYC level completed with each partner bank.

Can I import my data into Countam?

Yes. You can import key lists using Excel/CSV (using Countam import templates). If you’re migrating from another software (Zoho, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Wave), export your key lists and import them using our templates.

Can I export my data?

Yes. You can export data in Excel/CSV and export documents/reports in PDF.

Can Countam connect to my bank?

Direct bank feeds may be available where you’ve activated that service with your bank. Most businesses use bank statement upload + reconciliation. You can upload statements, match transactions to invoices, and reconcile cleanly into your accounts.

Does Countam support user roles and permissions?

Yes. Countam comes with built-in roles and you can customise permissions. Built-in roles include:

• Payroll Admin

You can also create custom roles for external parties and control what each role can view or edit.

Do I need to collect Customer TIN?

Customer TIN is optional, but recommended where available. It helps with compliant records and formal invoicing

Vendor TIN is optional, but recommended where available. It supports cleaner records and WHT reporting.

Is Countam NDPR compliant?

Yes. Countam is NDPR registered and operates with data protection controls, including a Data Protection Officer.

Where is my data hosted?

Customer data is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure with access controls, encryption, and backups. We don’t publicly list hosting regions.

What happens to my data if I stop using Countam?

You can request an export within 30 days of cancellation/termination. After that, data is deleted in line with policy.

Prices start from N250,000 / year. All plans include the same Countam modules. You choose based on team size. Starter (2 users), Growth (5 users) and Scale (10 users). Additional users costs N80,000 / year. See Pricing page for full details.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every plan comes with a 60-day free trial. Use the full platform during the trial. Before it ends, we'll remind you at 30, 14, 7, and 1 day. If Countam isn't the right fit, cancel before renewal. No surprises.

What happens after the 60 day trial?

You choose whether to continue. If Countam is working for your business, you continue on your chosen annual plan. If not, you can cancel before renewal. We won't charge you without warning.

Will you remind me before my trial ends?

Yes. We send reminders at 30, 14, 7, and 1 day before the trial ends. No silent charges, no surprises.

Do I need a card to start?

Yes. You will need to input your card details to start your trial during the sign-up process. We will not charge you. Your paid subscription will resume automatically once the free trial ends.

Can I upgrade / downgrade later?

Yes. You can change your plan as your team grows. Contact the team and we'll adjust your setup.

Can I cancel?

Yes. You can cancel anytime to stop renewal.

Setup and Onboarding

How long does setup take?

Most businesses are up and running within a few days. Basic setup (adding your business, inviting your team, recording transactions) is straightforward (20-60minutes).
Full setup (opening balances, customers, vendors, products takes 1-3 days. If you need help with chart of accounts, data migration, or tax configuration, our implementation support can speed things up.
The difference is whether your current data is in a suitable format (Excel, CSV, or Docs).

Can someone help me set it up?

Yes. Countam offers an optional Implementation Sprint (from N250,000) that includes a kickoff session, account set up, chart of accounts guidance, tax configuration, data import, team training and a go-live checklist. There is also a Data Migration add-on (from N150,000) if you're moving from spreadsheets or another tool.

Do you offer setup support?

Yes. Implementation support is available as an add-on to any plan. It covers everything from initial setup to team training. See the Pricing page for details and pricing.

Can i upload bank statements

Yes. You can upload bank statements for reconciliation and record-keeping. Bank feeds are available where supported, and statement upload works everywhere else.

Can I import my existing data?

Yes. Countam supports data imports. You can import key lists using Excel/CSV (using Countam import templates).

Can multiple users access Countam?

Yes. Every plan includes multiple users (Starter: 2, Growth: 5, Scale: 10). You can add more at ₦80,000/user/year. Each user gets role-based access with OTP verification and an audit trail.

Features and Usage

Does Countam support VAT, WHT and payroll?

Yes. Countam generates VAT, WHT, and PAYE reports you can use for payments, reporting and filing. Payroll management, including PAYE, pension, payslips and other statutory calculations, is built into every plan. It also tracks Company Income Tax (CIT) obligations.

Does Countam support E-invoicing

Yes. Every invoice includes an IRN (Invoice Reference Number). E-invoicing is built in and automatic.

Can i track Inventory & Stock

Yes. Track what's in stock, what's moving, and what you've used. You can also track raw materials used for production and reduce wastage. You can also track stock across branches.

What payment method does the POS module support?

Cash, bank transfer, POS card payments, and split payments. You can also print POS receipts and process refunds and voids.

Do i need Customer or Vendor TIN?

TIN is not required to create customers or vendors. But it's recommended for compliance purposes, especially for businesses handling WHT or formal invoicing. You can add it at any time

Does Countam have a virtual or wallet account?

Yes. Countam includes a wallet and virtual account feature for managing direct & statutory payments. Available on plans and requires KYC verification. Details on partner banks are shown during setup.

What is CFO Review Insights?

An added layer of financial oversight for your business. CFO Review Insights includes monthly financial health reviews, cashflow analysis, tax preparation review, anomaly detection, and quarterly strategic summaries. Think of it as a second pair of eyes on your numbers, without hiring a full-time CFO. Available as an add-on to any plan (₦250,000/quarter).

Data and Security

Where is data stored?

Your data is encrypted and stored securely. Countam is NDPR-accredited and handles business data with appropriate controls. For full details on privacy, data access, and handling, see our Privacy Policy.

Can i export my data?

Yes. You can export your data and reports from within Countam. Downloadable reports are available for all key areas including sales, expenses, tax, and inventory.

How fast is support?

Ticket replies within 24 working hours. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm WAT (excluding public holidays). Standard support is included in every plan. Priority and premium support options are available as add-ons, these provide responses within 3 hours.

If there is a system-wide issue, we send an update to all customers on the platform.

How is commission paid?

Commission is calculated on subscription amount excluding VAT.

Software subscription:

Payouts: 30 days after subscription payment clears; no payout on refunds/chargebacks;
